Stout Oversize Handle 28" x 3.25" x 1.5"

Stout oversize handle 28" x 3.25" x 1.5". "New Old Stock", carefully stored for a number of years, and rarely available. These handles were a special production run made to fit large eye sizes like Elwell 4516 snedding axes. They are also a possibility for Elwell 3lb or 4lb trimming axes, which have a tall eye of about 3.5", but need a short handle. They are really quite thick, and will need proper shaping and thinning to fit your particular tool and hand. This is reflected in the price! Sizes are nominal and a batch of handles may have variations of around 1/8". All handles need individual fitting to tool heads.
